An Effective Leader Keeps a Written Record

A leader becomes more effective when he or she assists memory by keeping a written record.  When you write, you engage the power of your senses.  You use the sense of vision by seeing what you’re writing.  You use the sense of touch, feeling the pen or the keyboard.  You use the sense of smell, taking in the subliminal odors of ink or electrical circuitry.  You use the sense of hearing by hearing the sound of the writing instrument on the paper or the clicking of the keys.  In all these ways you engage physically as well as mentally with the system of goals you are laying out.
