The Themes of Edward’s Works

One of the recurrent themes in Edwards’ works is the necessity of “pressing on” in the life of the faith. ┬áHe wants us to understand that there is always more of God’s grace to experience, more of His truth to learn, more of the beauty of Christ to behold, more power to draw on, more hope to rejoice in, more reasons for giving ourselves without reservation to the Lord Jesus Christ.
